Peek-a-boo!
The view of Tower Bridge always fascinates me. I love everything about it. The history, the architecture, the engineering and the aesthetics. I love it how it symbolises rich history of almost 150 years and engineering prowess. The bascule mechanism that this bridge has, when it was built must have been a very innovative idea. I would love to be the fly on the wall, when the discussion on implementation of this design was going on.
Today, Tower Bridge is celebrated as a symbol of London's history and heritage, and its also a popular destination for tourists from around the world. While its association with English imperialism may be a part of its legacy, it is also a reminder of the city's rich cultural and architectural history, and of the enduring appeal of iconic landmarks that transcend national boundaries.
Well, in this picture the sight of Tower Bridge just brings some kind of excitement in me.

Day 3765: The Back Story: Nepali Film Festival
When I was growing up, people often asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. My mind would race with endless possibilities, except for two: actor and dancer. There were two reasons for this - first, I was too busy admiring the performing legends who effortlessly excelled at their craft. And secondly, I just couldn't muster up the kind of confidence it takes to do what they do. So to me, anyone who could act or dance was like a god or goddess. And there were a few of those walking among us mere mortals.
This year, destiny had an incredible opportunity in store for me - to collaborate with these living legends: Nir Shah, Bhuwan KC, Karishma Manandhar, and Dinesh DC. Alongside them were aspiring gods and goddesses such as Anchal Sharma, Anoop Bikram Shahi, Puspa Khadka, Reema Bishwokarma, Wilson Bikram Rai (WBR), and Anu Shah. To top it off, the gorgeous Christina Gurung, my latest crush ( after Dua Lipa), beautiful inside and outside, was also part of the team, along with singers Sahima Shrestha and Yash Kumar and a few producers and Nepali film technicians. And not to forget Nepali artists from Nepal such as Manish Shrestha, Salina Thapa Magar, Kunal Bishwo, and many others.
The most significant part of the story wasn't just meeting them, but also being part of the team that put together the closing ceremony of the First Film Festival London-2023 in the UK. We faced challenges, found solutions, resolved issues, had fun, and made history We all stayed in the same hotel for 3 nights and 4 days! Every moment of those days was filled with memories - from registering sim cards, sorting out hot lemons, transferring songs, converting media, and discussing last-minute changes in their bedrooms. It was surreal, to say the least.
Me being me, emotional involvement was necessary for anything I do, and this event was all about that - getting to know these legends up close and personal - to touch them and be touched by their human side. Superstars and legends that they are, but knowing them also as great individuals who have so much to teach us, mere mortals, is an experience on its own. To top it off, Dinesh DC invited me to welcome everyone on stage, a moment that left me feeling overwhelmed. Nir Shah even addressed me as 'Bhaju Ojesh Singh' from the stage, appreciating my involvement with Pasa Puchah Guthi. The first-hand experience of Bhuwan KC’s incredible politeness and energy was amazing. These memories will stay with me for a long time.
Behind all the glitz and glamour, these insanely human gods and goddesses have given me memories that will last a lifetime. I cherish candid moments, such as Nir Shah belting out 'Rajamati Kumati' before appreciating my creativity and wishing to see me again doing something more creative. I will never forget Dinesh DC singing songs on the way back from our London trip, and Bhuwan KC joining him. I wasn't even aware that Bhuwan KC used to be a singer before becoming an actor!
So there you have it - life allowed me to rub elbows with my heroes and create memories that last a lifetime. I'm grateful for every single one of them and would like to share some of the moments that I was fortunate enough to capture.
