Pasa Puchah Guthi, UK had an interactive program with our specials guest from Nepal for London Biska Jatra on Thursday, 18 April 2024 at 8.00PM at Gurkha Capricorn Club, Plumstead, London. Guthi Members and broader community members had a close interaction with Ganapati Lal Shrestha, Sudan Munikar, Achut Prajapati and Padma Sundar Shakya on various topic related to heritage conservation. Guests were awarded letters of appreciation, London Biska Jatra Polo Shirts and token of love handed by Shrestha Madhav, Ojesh Singh, Sanyukta Shrestha, Jit Ranabhat & Sushil Prajapati.

Day 3837: London Biska Jatra
Final Preparation
Both raths, Bhairav and Bhadrakali, have now travelled to the venue at Shahid Udham Singh, Asian Community Centre at White Hart Road, SE18 1DG.
We have half built both the rath and plan to finish by 12.00PM tomorrow, afternoon for them to be pulled for London Biska Jatra 2024.
We look forward to celebrating 2nd London Biska Jatra with you all.

Day 3836: Rising Deities - Prana Pratishthapan
Today, both the Bhairavnaath and Bhadrakali raths stand tall as we conduct the Prana Pratishthapan, transforming mere materials into divine entities.
Both the Rathaus are ready for London Biska Jatra, tomorrow.

Day 3834 - The final Push!
Bhadrakali Rath
Week 7 - Day 9(7 April 2024)
After last weeks hard work, we plan to complete all the remaining bits this weekend and dismantle the completed rath this week.
So, on Saturday we got our Tiny Armies to paint the roofs. Today, though for the final push we had a very strong team of Sujan, Anish, Rishav, Solar Sachetan, Madhu, @Lasata Sanjeev, Nilesh and I. This week we had also received the artifacrs such as windows, gajur and jhallar etc from Nepal.
We worked really hard and guess what??
Yes, the Bhardrakali Rath is ready!!!
We managed to complete everything and we dismantled the rath ready to be transported from West London to SE London on Thursday.
See you all on Saturday, 13 April 2024 for London Biska Jatra at Asian Community Hall, Plumstead.

Day 3835 - Bhadrakali Rath Updates
Week 6 - Day 7(1 April 2024)
Today is an Easter bank holiday Monday. Sanjeev couldn’t escape his family commitments so we decided to start late. To take advantage of this plan I stole some precious time for a quick bike ride with my kids to the Perivale park.
Today was going to be a special day as one of our founder members Shashidhar Manandhar had promised to come and help us. Anish and Shashi arrived bang on time - but, so did the rain. It was raining pretty bad so we had to move all our tools and wood indoors. We are extremely grateful to my better half Nikkifor letting us make the mess of her beautiful kitchen.
Our master craftsman Sanjeev was delayed, so we became little bit lost however, I took the charge and invited Nilesh for his cutting cutting expertise. When Sanjeev arrived, we were able to complete reinforcement of all the roofs.
Bhadrakali Rath is rising higher!!!
Bhadrakali Rath is being built by West London team while Bhairavnath Rath is being built by Sushil and team in SE London.
Looking forward to London Biska Jatra on 13 April 2024!

Day 3834 - Bhadrakali Rath Updates
Week 5 - Day 6(31 March 2024)
Today is Easter Sunday, so Nilesh had Easter commitments with the family so we lost another soldier. But we gained 3 more man power, Anish, Solar Sachetan and surprise participation of Sasit. So, We had strong team of 5 including Sanjeev and I.
Today, we completed the frames of all the roof and made some reinforcement. We could see the Bhadrakali Rath coming together nicely.

Day 3833 - London Biska Jatra
Week 5 - Day 5(30 March 2024)
Bhadrakali Rath Updates
We had decided to take advantage of the Good Friday bank holidays. But we didn’t have enough man power after Sujan left for his mini holiday. To be fair he stayed till really late last night doing as much as we could to complete the nose (असीं). However Nilesh came to rescue, Sanjeev’s and my willpower.
Our target, today, was to complete the nose (असीं) and to move on to the roofs. We did complete the nose (असीं) but couldn’t do much with the roof. However, we were happy with the progress so far. We were pretty tired but the excitement of celebrating London Biska Jatra keeps us motivated.
