Day 1473 - Maane Gadha!
The memories of togetherness, ignorance, naivety, innocence, freshness, carefreeness and being on top of the world always become afresh when we meet friends from childhood. But, when I hear this idiot sing it makes me feel that I have never grown up and neither I ever will.
Just because you sing well doesn't make you any less Gadha, though.

Day 1470 - Pyrrhic victory
“If we are victorious in one more battle … we shall be utterly ruined.”
It’s from the Greek historian Plutarch’s account of the battle that gave us the phrase “pyrrhic victory”, the kind of victory won at such cost that you almost wish you’d lost.

Day 1467 - A different dawn:
It's indeed a new dawn to the country, the countries related to this country, people in the country and people related to this country. I'm very very sad that Britain has decided to leave EU. And, that one picture of laughing Nigel Farage is enough to make my day worse.
I know that all the sectors will definitely be effected negatively by this outcome in the short term but nobody knows what will it hold in the longer term. It's a very very difficult day to comprehend, no matter what.

Day 1466 - EU referendum
At least to wind up people like Thomas Mair, the convicted murderer of Jo Cox, I vote to stay in EU.
'..maybe, if an immigrant with no contacts, no skills and no local knowledge of the language and/or culture can steal your job, maybe, just maybe, you're shit at your job.' This is relatable to people of any country.

Day 1463 -जन्म न्ही या सगं: - Birthday Saga:n
Celebration doesn't have to be expensive presents, thoughtful surprises, loud music, flowing alcohol and non-stop dancing. Just blessing is enough.

Day 1459 - Newah Wedding Diary: भ्वए (Bhwae)
The day to show off newly married bride to all the relatives and the friends. To share the happiness and receive blessings for the newly married couple. Most importantly, its time for good friends to come and enjoy the feast and better friends to get drunk and make merry.
We thank you all for making time to attend the bhwae and even bigger thanks to those who enjoyed, stayed longer, got drunk and still remembered my name.

Day 1458 - Newah Wedding Diary: लं स्व: वनेगु (Lan Swo Wonegu)/ जन्त: वनेगु (Janta Wonegu)
A procession, Janta was taken to the bride's house with the groom and very close friends, families, torch bearers and traditional musical band 'Pancha Baajan'. All the men dressed smartly and women spent hours, literally, getting ready in their bright, red and sparkly sarees/dresses and their best jewellery.
We also exchanged vows with bride's family and promised to take care of the bride forever. This is called 'Bhamcha Khan Lhaye'.
However, we lost the battle of negotiations with the beautiful sisters/cousins/friends of the bride who had successfully hidden the groom's shoes. Our boys were prepared to bring the beautiful ladies back with ourselves but alas, we had to make do with only one bride and empty pockets. We returned victorious, nevertheless. Rupesh Alisha

Day 1457 - Newah Wedding Diary - Gwe Bigu
To seal the deal, twelve pieces of Gwe or Putu-Gwe, Betel-nut(Supari) along with lots of Newah delicacies, fruits, ornaments, clothes and other essentials have been taken for the bride-to-be. This is the point of no return for both the parties.

Day 1447 - Car Love
After learning that 4 years old Oneek loves cars, a friend of mine decided to start talking about car with him.
Friend: So which is your favourite car? Thomas? Lightening McQueen?
Oneek: No, I like McLaren
Friend: What's that?
Oneek: It's a real car. It's a very fast car.
Me: ...and it's a very expensive car, my son.

Day 1446 - I don't like Jose Mourinho.
But I, absolutely, love the fact that some Chelsae fans are behaving like that jealous 'Playboy' boyfriend whose most beautiful, talented and prized girlfriend/boyfriend is warming his arch rival's bed.
With David Moyes and Luis Van Gaal, it was easier to tolerate the downfall of the club considering it was an inevitable transition after the legend that is Fergie but I don't think the charm will last longer with Mourinho if he doesn't deliver result. I'm all ready for the new exciting ride. Aren't we all???
